Designed for straightforward installation and maintenance, the seal features an innovative mechanism where the stainless steel ring seamlessly rotates with the shaft, while the stationary graphite component maintains optimum sealing. The seal can be easily fitted to a sterntube using a rubber sleeve, typically secured with clamps, allowing for flexibility in installation. Standard rubber sleeve size is 87mm, but it can accommodate sterntube sizes of 70mm, 2½ inches, or 3 inches with the appropriate reductions. For added convenience, it can also be used with a wall-mounted bronze shaft seal adapter that incorporates a water-lubricated bearing (refer to codes 49006354900680).
